St Austin's Installation 2012

The Installing Master, W Bro Peter Gore, Installed the Junior Warden, Bro John Rutland into the chair of St Austin’s Mark Lodge No 479 on Monday 16th April 2012 in a friendly and sincere manner ably assisted by all who took part.

The whole ceremony was conducted under the watchful eye of the DC, W Bro Eric Drinkwater PGJD, who also gave the explanation of the Working Tools and delivered the Address to the Overseers. The Address to the WMM was in the capable hands of the Provincial Tyler, W Bro Mel Cross  P.G.Std.Br.. VW Bro Jack Forsyth PGMO delivered the Address to the Wardens and The Representative of the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master, W Bro Stuart Brackstone PGSD gave the Address to the Brethren.

The whole occasion was a happy, friendly and at times a very ‘warm’ event enjoyed by all, including the delightful festive board that followed. Unfortunately, V.W.Bro. Frank Starkey PGMO, was not well enough to be in attendance, but we all wished him a speedy improvement in his absence. £ members of the Lodge are tom be honoured at the forthcoming meeting of Provincial Grand Lodge: W Bro’s D Bradshaw and D Petley to be Appointed P.P.G.J.D. and PPrAGDC respectively, also W Bro Alan Blackstone PPrAGDC is to be promoted to PPrGReg, being a most fitting reward as the hard working secretary of the lodge. At the Installation, the WMM presented a £100 cheque in favour of the West Lancs Mark Charities.

A meeting of the St Austin’s RAM’s No 479, preceded the Mark Installation, at which W Bro A Briggs became the Commander Elect, having first occupied that office in 2008, he is also the WMM of Warrington Mark Lodge No 1178. It was noted that the Worshipful Commander Bro Peter Gore, had his work cut out on the evening by installing his successor in the Mark meeting that followed.
